"This letter is written in thanks to Slade Desrochers for his actions in dealing with a property owned by me personally. An early private sale prevented Slade from receiving the listing commission to which he would have been entitled. I offered him some compensastion for the consultation he had provided me on the property. Slade refused to accept the compensation and he justified it by saying that it was mine to sell prior to the listing date. The cash payment that Slade chose to forfeit ($2,000) was only about 25% of the total commission that would have been payable upon the MLS sale of the property, and as such, I felt almost guilty offering him only that much. I fully expected and hoped that he would accept the payment and at the same time be OK with all that had transpired. He went above and beyond my expectations in that he was more than OK with the situation, and at the same time, he declined my compensation offering. "As per my explanation above, I hold Slade's integrity in very high regard, as well as that of his organizaiton.
